First things first

I've been thinking for a while now that I really needed to create a blog for myself and as the sunshine keeps breaking to allow the raindrops through, today, on a quiet Sunday afternoon, it seems like the perfect time to do it.

I am working on several manuscripts at the moment, all works in progress... including romance, paranormal, historical and also two childrens books which I've been working on for around four years now.

I live in England, Derbyshire to be more precise, which in places has stunning countryside, rich and green. I love all animals and would like to have a horse again sometime in the future, boy I miss them so much. Meanwhile I'm pleased to be able to care for my two dogs, Shanie and Bentley - an English Springer Spaniel and a Cocker Spaniel, both cheeky daft, my seven cats - Simba, Swashshinder(named after a magical cat in one of my wips for children), Wicca, Spooky, George, Keiko and Keisha. Then there's Jin, my cornsnake, gorgeous, gold and greedy :)

I am a wife and mother and also auntie to two nieces and two nephews, one who is now a Baron and living in a beautiful big hall. I on the other hand, live in a lovely Victorian cottage which was built in the late 1800's. It has beams and high skirting and even an old pig sty up at the very top of the garden! Though we have no pigs - I've worked for a short time with them and wouldn't have them after that, so it's currently empty... for the time being.

Also very important to me is my artwork and I paint, draw and license my artwork and photography for use by others. I take a lot of happiness from creating my artwork and because of this I rarely offer anything for sale lately - I know, I know... I'm gonna end up with a house full of paintings stacked about. But, really I hate it when I sell one and afterwards wish I never had. Funny though that I never really know which will affect me like that until after its gone. I'll try to change that habit soon and offer some of them. Maybe do a few exhibitions again. Only done one so far this year.

Now I don't want to go on about me and my life history too much, when I could be writing or painting instead, so I'll stop now. Believe me when I say that sometimes when I get talking or writing I can be compared to Pringles - I just can't stop!

I'm so happy you stopped by - hope you like my future posts!
